Update

Just wanted to let everyone know that we are all doing fine--When we brought Ian home from the hospital he was not feeding well at all (it would take us about 50 minutes and a lot of work to get him to drink one ounce of milk) and he had lost down to 5 lbs 8oz. The pediatrician at the hospital told us that it is not uncommon for c-section babies not to want to take to feeding well, especially those that are born early, because it's as if they are still sleeping in the womb, even though they are not.But after a trip to see Dr Lawrence and the nurse took his temperature rectally he "woke up" so to speak (of course who wouldn't after that!). Now he is actually waking us up to feed him instead of the other way around and is dowing about two ounces, sometimes three, of milk at a time. Friday when we took him for a re-check on his weight he was back up to 5lbs 10 oz--not quite back up to birth weight but is making progress which we are all pleased with.

As for me, I am doing much better. And for those ladies out there who say having a c-section is the way to go-- I beg to differ!! At least now I am able to get up and around and am slowly but surely getting back to normal.

Jasmine is being an excellent big sister and a tremendous help to Todd & I with the baby. She absolutely loves him to death. She enjoys helping feed him and holding him, which she has to do every morning before she goes to school and as soon as she gets home in the afternoons. We just can't get her to change his diaper--go figure!

As for Todd, let's just say that Jasmine has him wrapped around one finger and Ian has the other.
