Ring around the Rosies

Ian has fallen in love with doing "Ring Around the Rosies". Something he learned at daycare. He can only sing part of the song and the "ashes, ashes" part comes out as "Ashley, Ashley"--his new teachers name. It is sooo cute to watch him do even though he hasn't quite gotten the hang of the falling down part.

Cheap Entertainment

Ian has had loads of fun with this sand bucket that we got for free from daycare this past summer. Who needs cable tv when we've got this little guy to entertain us?

Climbing

Ian has gotten to the stage in his life where he likes to climb--on EVERYTHING. The other morning I left him playing with his puzzle in the living room while I went into the kitchen to fix his cup of milk. Apparently he thought it would be more fun to sit on the table to do his puzzle than to stand by it because this is what I found when I came back into the living room.

Baby? I Think Not!

Our bouncy seat at the daycare has been used and abused and no longer works, so I found a deal for real on a new one at Target this morning. I brought it into the house to put it together before I went to work because I knew once I got to work, I would not have time to put it together, as we now have 10 babies to care for. Well, Mr. Ian had to help because he saw mommy with the " driver"(screwdriver for those of you who don't speak Ianese). We got it put together and of course he just had to try it out. All I can say is at least we know it's a sturdy one as it can hold Ian and all of his 27lbs!

A Cat Named Puppy

Two weeks ago when we were in Harris Teeter picking up a few groceries, we passed by the clearance buggies. Being the bargain hunter that I am, we stopped to see what was in them. Well, there happened to be a buggy that had some stuffed animals in it, and Ian picked this cute little leopard up, said puppy, gave it a hug and that was all she wrote. He had to have it. As in we were not leaving the store without it. Luckily, it was only a few dollars, so we brought him home with us to avert melt down city. So, now we have a cat named Puppy.

CLAUS-CLAUS CRAZY

I know, I know.... enough with the Christmas pics/videos already! But I just had this one last thing to post. During the holidays Ian became a little obsessed with Santa or Claus-Claus as he calls him. But only the inanimate ones... he wanted no parts of being anywhere near the real life one, though he would wave and say hi from a distance(hence no picture with Santa for our boy.. or girl, since she has always had an aversion to Santa, the Easter Bunny, and Clowns). He would look out the windows on the way home and just oh and ah over any blow-up or light up Claus-Claus he saw in someones yard. There was even one day that we had to ride around the neighborhood before coming home from running errands so that he could see one before we went back to the house.
Well, at his daycare they had a Santa Shop fundraiser where you could purchase neat little gifts for friends and family and the money earned went to the school/daycare. So one day I went in to work a little early just to visit said Santa Shop and found this adorable singing trio of Claus-Claus, a Snowman, and a Reindeer, who sing and dance to "Jingle Bells". It screamed"Ian will love these, buy me, buy me." So I did and wrapped them up and put them under the tree. I was right, he LOVED them after he got over the initial scare of all three of them singing and beeping. What mommy failed to realize is that when they are finished singing they beep incessantly until you push the button for them to sing again, or eventually they will cut off. Every morning when that boy bounds out of bed he is on the hunt for "Claus-Claus" and whenever they start beeping he has to run and find them no matter where they are or what he may be in the process of doing. We have even tried hiding them from him since they are SO annoying and we are a little tired of hearing Jingle Bells, but he either manages to find them or he just looks and looks for them and gets upset when he can't find them.

You're My Sweetie Pie

Ever have one of those embarassing photos/videos of your kids that you just have to let everyone see?? Well, here is ours of Miss Jasmine singing a cutesy little song....which is so not like her. Not sure why the video came out sideways....still trying to figure things out on my new camera, but it is still worthy of sharing.

Christmas Videos

Ian really got the hang of tearing into presents on Christmas morning. He enjoyed opening them so much, he even opened some of his sister's gifts as you can see below...

Sissy LOVES the Wii that Santa Brought

Sissy's Santa Haul

Ian's Santa Haul

New PJ's for all to wear on Christmas Eve--a tradition that started when Jasmine was little.

Ok.... I know it has been awhile since the last post, but things have been pretty busy around here right up until Christmas. Then it was time to relax for a few days with the hubs and the kids and ALL of their new toys Santa delivered. And let me tell ya it was ALOT! I tell you poor Ian had so many new things to play with he did not know which to go for first. Of course Sissy automatically went for the Wii, which she has desperately wanted for about two years now. And I must say, bowling and tennis are quite habit forming! Ian likes his powerwheels, or mawnmower as he calls it, but he is a little skittish of it when it actually goes, so he spends most of his time pushing it around and taking the seat off of it to see how it works inside. But hopefully the more time he spends playing with it he will eventually get to a point where he actually likes to ride on it.
